THoHH, Episode 2: “Open Casket”

“You fixed her.”

Spook Factor: 👻👻 out of 👻👻👻👻👻

With slightly more jump scares and creepy imagery, this episode begins a slight descent into spookiness. If dead bodies are absolutely not your thing, consider reading a synopsis instead.

CWs: corpses, embalming, animal death, discussion of rehab and drug addiction, hallucinations

OWs: mild language, insobriety and implied drug use

Jump Scares (in chronological order):

  1. Shirl takes photos in the shed.

  2. Banging is heard on the wall.

  3. Olivia(?) holds the box.

What to Expect:

Episode 2 continues to explore the family’s trauma, new and old. But this episode also explores the family’s dynamics, particularly parenting and introducing the concept of death to children. I personally love the calm, patient, and empathetic approaches that the parents in both generations take to explain death to their children and help them understand and deal with complex emotions.
